114 Days of Riding at Northstar and Counting!

It has been such a great season and there is still time to enjoy some more great spring skiing.  You don't want to miss out on tomorrow's Spring It On Event happening next to the superpipe.  Our lift tickets are only $35, if you are more interested in just coming up for the BBQ, handplant, infinity box, or pond skim contest, we are offering FREE gondola passes to mid-mountain.  Don't pull those golf clubs, kayak, or Mountain Bikes just yet, come up and enjoy another day at Northstar before it is all said and done for the season!  I just hit my 114 days of riding at Northstar yesterday and my goal was 115.  I made it!  I don't know about you but I am putting on my boots as your reading this and going up for a few turns.

I've enjoyed writing this blog all season long and hopefully have been able to give some helpful hints for all you Northstar enthusiasts.  I put together a few clips from the beginning to the end of this season to show you how great of a year it has really been.  This video doesn't have any other riders, I decided to just throw myself in this time so hopefully it is somewhat entertaining.  I'll do my best to show you how the pond skimming goes tomorrow just in case you aren't able to make it up to the slopes.

We Still Have Great Spring Ski Conditions!

Our base depth is still at 46 inches mid-mountain and 97 at the summit, with 80 ski trails open!  There is still plenty of time to grab those freshly waxed skis or snowboard for some fresh corduroy runs.  We have some great events line up for April like Red Bull Snow Warz, Spring it On, and $15 Tax Day Relief lift tickets.  I can't wait for the Spring it On event happening April 20th which includes;  a hand plant contest, pond skimming, and the ultimate box, "the 150 foot infinity box!"  We are expecting nothing but sunny skies for the next week and warm temperatures, exceptional spring skiing, especially in the morning.  Don't forget about the Good Day Video Contest and Good Day Photo Contest deadline rapidly approaching.  If you weren't able to bring you camera, tell us what you think of our website with our Online Survey for a chance to win a $100 gift card.

Don't forget about our $35 lift tickets after April 14th, available at any ticket window.  Are you getting anxious to start golfing and mountain biking?  You ought to come and play a little snow golf on April 26th or try racing down a slalom course on snow, good times will be at hand.  I don't know about all of you, but I am trying to take advantage of these great conditions as much as possible before everything is said and done this season.  A few of us went out this morning and had a good time taking a few laps through the park, check out how much snow there still is.  I hope to see all of you on the hill at least one more time before the season is over!

April is a Great Month to Ski!

We have no shortage of events throughout the month of April and the skiing is still great! With all kinds of lift ticket specials and things happening around the resort you would be crazy to not come on up and take advantage of what we are offering.  We have huge savings like the Tax Day Relief lift ticket for only $15 on April 15th and all lift tickets are only $35 from April 14th on.  Have you been up here a couple or few times this season and haven't had a chance to give us any feedback yet?  Don't worry, we have a online survey for you to fill out and a chance to win a $100 gift card good at either Northstar or Sierra-at-Tahoe.  Don't forget, we have the Good Day Video Contest and the deadline to submit your videos is nearing.  First place wins a Northstar season pass and the two runners up get four lift tickets each.  All you have to do is put together a video three minutes or less showing us how you have a good day at Northstar.  It is really that simple!  If creating videos is not your thing and you prefer taking still images we have a Good Day Photo Contest as well!  Check out the details, you could score some free lift tickets.
