When it snows...it dumps! We got 8 more inches of snow last night and are looking at a potential 1-3 inches today, with more storms on the way. Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is now open top to bottom and the snow is amazing! Even if you hit snooze a few times this morning and didn't get fresh tracks in the waist deep light as air powder that has blanketed our slopes the last 48 hours, no worries! It's going to be great conditions out there the next few days with many a powder stash to be found, so don't put away your beefy boards or skis just yet. If you're heading up here throw on some layers, cause it's chilly! 13 degrees at noon today, mid-mountain. We will continue to open terrain as weather and conditions permit so stay tuned.
Your snow prayers and dances have had awesome results so keep em' coming!
See you out there!

Lauren, Any chance of getting the backside or Lookout open by the weekend? Also, with the dry snow, how's the coverage? Should I bring the rock board this weekend?

Hello,
We really have excellent coverage up there right now, especially for the first base creating snowfall. I'd say bring your good board, I didn't have any trouble today. I was riding all morning with my freshly tuned board(by the masters in snowwell tuning and repair)and had no trouble. Backside and Lookout are opening this weekend, I'll be on Lookout right when it opens checking the new terrain.
Thanks for you comment,
Chris
