What you all have been waiting for is forecasted to crawl over the State of California this weekend and linger through the middle of next week. That’s right, a little bit of that White Gold as we call it. Get your thermals ready and be sure to zip the insulation in your jacket before heading up to the slopes this weekend. Very cold Artic air is making its way down and will drop temperatures considerably. The disturbance is a little patchy but carrying a punch of precipitation, the only uncertainty is pin-pointing exactly where inland it will end up. Sorry, I don’t have precipitation totals yet, but I will keep a close eye on this storm activity and give you a more accurate update, probably Thursday.
Want an insider tip? You can’t quote me on this, it hasn’t even been released yet but I foresee Pinball opening tomorrow. The Snowmaking Team has done tremendous progress up there in the last few days and it is looking ready to carve up. The traditional Pinball park line won’t be ready until probably sometime next week, conditions permitting of course. Are you ready to ride the chairlift to the top and take a full run down? Well, there is a very good possibility for that happening this weekend; again I’ll let you know Thursday. Lauren and I were out tearing up the slopes this morning; she really has great form and is an impressive skier. It was a bucket full of fun out there; you probably noticed a couple of photos she took. Let me know if you have any comments, questions, or suggestions; I want to hear from you.
Let’s take a lap,
Chris
