Winter has arrived, just in time! 8" of snow was sitting on our 18" base yesterday morning, as a number of skiers and riders were waiting for their chance to take the first turns of the season. We had our best opening since the 1994-1995 season, 4 lifts were turning and 6 trails! We will be opening new terrain daily as long as Mother Nature continues to be so cooperative. Our Snow Surfaces Team is working relentlessly and 24 hours a day to continue making the opening of new terrain possible. Thanks Guys! We are hoping to get Comstock Express open by this Thursday, giving you a full run down West Ridge, through Luggi's, down Main Street, and all the way to the Village. How Cool is that for the first week open! It is definitely worth getting taking some turns and getting those ski legs back, the trail snow coverage is really quite good.
The Terrain Park Crew has also set up a 10 feature park separated into three sections down Lumberjack and Main Street. There are jibable boxes and rails to keep you entertained if that is your thing, perfect for all of us Terrain Park skiers and riders. Come check us out, I am hyped for this winter, expecting the best! Have you made a guess for the annual snowfall this season? Our average is 350 inches, I'm guessing the high mark of 450 inches this season. Shoot me an email, if your the closest at the end of the season, I'll give the winner one of my personal lift tickets. Just shoot me a comment with your guess. I'm heading up the hill with my video camera, hopefully there will be a video this afternoon.
See ya up there,
Chris
I don't want to hype too much, but I agree with BA that we should have a 470 inch year.

Maybe we will get more. Everyone is predicting a big storm for December, which could mean a 500 inch year.
