The snow is flying and has been accumulating all morning, with a potential of 6 to 14 inches before the sunrise tomorrow! That’s right, Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort is opening tomorrow, Saturday the 21st for the winter season! Is there really any better way to start the season? Let me tell you, the vibe around this resort is through the roof, everyone seems so pumped and just yearning for the first chance to take a turn. If opening weekend isn’t your thing, it could be this season with fresh snow, more trails open than usual, and early season ticket prices. No excuses, you will be hard pressed to find yourself a better day than the good day you’ll experience here at Northstar.
If you haven’t heard about the improvements to the resort, you must check out what is new for the 09/10 winter season. We will continue our tireless snowmaking efforts so we can continue opening new terrain daily! I’m sure you’ve heard, but a huge winter is expected with colder temperatures and more precipitation this season. Last year we hit 401 inches for our annual snowfall, that is 50 inches more than the average. What do you think we will see this season? 450? Or should we shoot for the high mark of 500 inches? I know it is really early, but I think we will see 470 inches by the end of this season. Any predictions? I hope to see you up here tomorrow for opening day, if you don’t make it check back tomorrow for another update.
Looking forward to a good winter!
Chris
